Hello to the HeiferHood! It's been a while since I've had a fun product review up here in HeiferLand, and I'm sharing one with you today - a product I really didn't even have on my radar, then BAM! I realized I love these glasses!
Recently I acquired a pair of xx2i Optics glasses. Holy COW! (haha see how I did that?) Normally, when I run, I wear a baseball cap (hey, it's Phoenix, it's always sunny) to shade my fragile eyes.
But I had no idea how running with sunglasses could improve my actual run. I know, seems kind of MOOOOOPid (rhymes with STOOOOOPID but more heifer-y) when I say it out loud. It's true. I've just been enlightened. Someone took the shades off. I could go on and on all day with bad puns. It's my thing.
Anyhoooo, I got these xx2i glasses (link HERE) and took them out for an inaugural run. Notice I'm still wearing my trusty hat - not really sure if the glasses are going to do much for me. I mean, street cred for sure, because, look at them! They look bad-ass. But vision-wise... wasn't sure.
You guys!! No more squinting! I'm new to running - about 4 years in at this point - so some things that seem intuitive to most of y'all (or should we say inMOOOOOitive) are still new to me. This is one of those things (just like rolling a frozen golf ball on your feet - which is a whole other blog post that's coming soon).
The glasses - back to the glasses. These things are freakin' amaze-balls. They block out all the bad rays and honestly, I love the pink (although they do come in other colors, not sure why anyone WOULDN'T love this pink though)...
Something about this company intrigued me. So I dug a little deeper. Check this out:
"We support people that make a difference every day. People who are committed to a healthy, athletic lifestyle and being good citizens. People who appreciate quality, innovation and no BS marketing. We are committed to producing the best possible eyewear for outdoor enthusiasts and stand behind each product we produce with integrity and pride to insure your completely satisfied no matter what."
Are they for real? They have a NO BS marketing policy?? That's MY policy too. NO BS. That's what being a heifer is all about. This is love at first moo, y'all.
Great product - greater company. Here's a pic I swiped directly from their website, because, internet:
How do these stack up against my $10.99 ones from TarJay?? No Contest. These don't slip, slide, bounce, etc. They stay firmly in place. They came with this case, attachments, strap, etc. All included.
To quote my favorite QVC quote from 2am television shows - "but wait! There's more!"
What if you have commitment issues? What if you're just "not sure" or even WORSE - what if they get scratched by your cat named Fluffy? I swiped this text directly from their site:

Included with these frames will be a tank protector case and one microfiber soft carrying bag that can also be used as a cleaning cloth. Features on these sunglasses are perfect for running, cycling, golfing or just about any activity that requires the sunglasses to stay on your face and remain fog free.
FEATURES: interchangeable lenses, adjustable temple tips and adjustable nose pads.
WARRANTY: Lifetime Warranty! No questions asked, you break or scratch them, send them back to be replaced for a nominal shipping and handling fee!
RETURN POLICY: 365 Days! We know it may take some time to try on and get comfortable with a pair of sunglasses bought online so that's why we give you a full year to do so! That's right, take up to 365 days to determine if you want to keep them and if not, send them back for a full refund less any shipping and handling fee.
Do you see that? NO QUESTIONS ASKED. These guys don't play. If they get damaged, you get a replacement.
Here's all I'm saying. In today's day and age - this NO BS policy and this AWESOME customer service seems to be few and far between.
As for me and MY eyes, we'll be kind of like Neil Diamond's Forever In Blue Jeans, but we'lll be "Forever in xx2i Glasses!"
