Jenny Craig II - Grand Opening - Surprise, Arizona

Howdy Heifers!

(Thank you Jenny Craig for sponsoring this post. Tried other weight loss programs, heifers? It's time to try Jenny Craig!)

Last week I had the pleasure of talking about the Gilbert Jenny Craig Grand Opening - (view post HERE)....we had such a great time hanging out, giving away prizes, and inspiring new members to be their very best!

This past weekend, I had the honor, once again, of representing Jenny Craig (as a success story) at the Surprise, Arizona Grand Opening!  We had a great time with Mary from MIX 96.9 here in Phoenix as well as with Kindle (in the blue shirt) from Macaroni Kids Tucson.

We had a great time giving away raffle prizes (swag bags, y'all!), and some goodies from the radio station - have a look at some of our shenanigans:

Oh hey. It's me. Jumping for joy.

Last week I talked a little about the Rapid Results program, which I'll recap again here at the bottom - but today I want to talk about the support I received from my Jenny Craig Consultant, Cindy.

I walked into my center that day a dejected, insecure, miserable heifer. Truly. I was an unhappy woman. I was a wall flower, afraid to look people in the eye when I spoke to them, because I felt LESSER THAN, because of my size. I felt slovenly. There are amazing clothing companies around who make great outfits for plus-size women, but the clothes never looked good on me.  I wasn't one of those CUTE overweight people with their act together. My daily mom-uniform consisted of jeans or jeans-shorts, and XXXL sweatshirts or tshirts, and CROCS.

Now look, heifers. I don't want to offend anyone here. But crocs... they are great pool shoes but as a fashion statement, well....just..... not for me these days.

I was paired with Cindy, who, in my opinion, is the BEST consultant in the history of consultants.  Why? I'm glad you asked.

It's the bull factor. SHE DIDN'T TAKE MY BULL! She refused my excuses when I tried to explain away weeks where I gained instead of lost or maintained. She helped me focus on my long term goals while at the same time showing me how to celebrate daily victories - non scale victories, etc.

She taught me to reward myself with things other than cookies (go figure, it's GENIUS!) and all kinds of other ways to treat myself properly - not beat myself up, and to always keep moving forward.

There's me and Cindy, sitting on a couch, laughing. Because, isn't that what all consultants and clients do together? :-)

The best part of the Jenny Craig program, in my opinion, aside from the support of your consultant, is that it teaches you how to eat properly and get OFF the plan. What other plan's whole goal for you is to get OFF of it and live successfully with the new tools its taught you? It's amazing.  I learned how to portion my food properly (lawsy mercy, as Americans we eat WAY TOO MUCH food - go to any restaurant and watch the meals being served... it's insanity)....

Jenny has a new Rapid Results Program that's pretty cool - it's a science-based innovation to the JC program that leverages research on the body clock's circadian rhythm, which was awarded the 2017 Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine. It works with the body's natural rhythm, in which metabolism ramps in the morning, peaking towards mid-day and gently tapering off towards evening.

The Rapid Results program, including the meal plan, is aligned with this rhythm, with more calories when metabolism is burning the most calories, so that members can take maximum advantage of their body's natural fat-burning ability to lose weight faster.

Rapid Results divides the day into two segments - a nourishment period and a rejuvenation period.

  • During the nourishment period, members eat six times per day and choose from chef-crafted and nutritionist-designed meals.  There's no counting, cooking or meal prep and the daily menu is based on appropriate nutrition for healthy weight loss.  Rapid Results provides more calories when your metabolism is burning the most calories
  • During Rapid Results - members will observe a 12 hour rejuvenation break - a critical reset period for the body's cells to regroup, rejuvenate and regenerate.

**On the Rapid Results program, members can lose up to 16 pounds in the first four weeks (BONUS!). **Average weight loss in the study was 11.6 pounds for those who completed the program.

The first 50 members at each center to receive a free 1 year membership!*** (with full menu purchase).

***Free 1-year Jenny All Access membership valid with full menu purchase (avg. price $154 US) on first visit. Cost of food and shipping, if applicable, not included. If you're looking for an easy, hassle-free way to lose weight and get healthy, I recommend you seriously consider the Jenny Craig program. It worked for me, it helped me catapult into the world of running and triathlon. Without my Jenny Craig success, I'd still be on the couch, eating bonbons and drinking Mountain Dew.

This post was sponsored by Jenny Craig but the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
