Last week I talked a little about the Rapid Results program, which I'll recap again here at the bottom - but today I want to talk about the support I received from my Jenny Craig Consultant, Cindy.
I walked into my center that day a dejected, insecure, miserable heifer. Truly. I was an unhappy woman. I was a wall flower, afraid to look people in the eye when I spoke to them, because I felt LESSER THAN, because of my size. I felt slovenly. There are amazing clothing companies around who make great outfits for plus-size women, but the clothes never looked good on me. I wasn't one of those CUTE overweight people with their act together. My daily mom-uniform consisted of jeans or jeans-shorts, and XXXL sweatshirts or tshirts, and CROCS.
Now look, heifers. I don't want to offend anyone here. But crocs... they are great pool shoes but as a fashion statement, well....just..... not for me these days.
I was paired with Cindy, who, in my opinion, is the BEST consultant in the history of consultants. Why? I'm glad you asked.
It's the bull factor. SHE DIDN'T TAKE MY BULL! She refused my excuses when I tried to explain away weeks where I gained instead of lost or maintained. She helped me focus on my long term goals while at the same time showing me how to celebrate daily victories - non scale victories, etc.
She taught me to reward myself with things other than cookies (go figure, it's GENIUS!) and all kinds of other ways to treat myself properly - not beat myself up, and to always keep moving forward.

I learned how to portion my food properly (lawsy mercy, as Americans we eat WAY TOO MUCH food - go to any restaurant and watch the meals being served... it's insanity)....
